Our Story
Founded in 1984, Hawaiʻi Figure Skating Club (HFSC) became the first member organization of U.S. Figure Skating in Hawaiʻi. To this day, we are still only the only member organization of U.S. Figure Skating in Hawaiʻi.

In 1986, the Club was recognized as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. It is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors who are elected by the membership. As a member of US Figure Skating, Hawaiʻi Figure Skating Club abides by all rules and by-laws of the parent organization. All members of HFSC are also members of US Figure Skating, representing both entities.

HawaiÊ»i Figure Skating Club aims to incorporate a wide spectrum of skater ages and abilities, as well as their families. Our club aims to: promote the sport of figure skating by encouraging the instruction, practice, and advancement of its members in all types of figure skating; encourage and cultivate a spirit of fraternal skating among ice skaters by sponsoring figure skating competitions and exhibitions; and carry out the general policies of US Figure Skating. Our home rink, Ice Palace HawaiÊ»i, is HawaiÊ»i’s only ice rink located in Honolulu, on the island of OÊ»ahu.

Each year, HawaiÊ»i Figure Skating Club hosts several events, including social gatherings and picnics, rummage sales, bake sales, themed “skate nights”, and private club ice. In addition, each year club members can look forward to several test sessions and our annual Skate Aloha competition
